The REALTOR® Action Fund

When it comes to advocacy REALTORS® band together as the REALTOR® Party, which is a powerful alliance of REALTORS® working to protect and promote homeownership and private property rights. Simply put, the REALTOR® Party promotes policies and candidates that support your ability to do business, but we need your help. You can help by INVESTING in the REALTOR® Action Fund, (RAF). With the resources provided by the REALTOR® Action Fund we fight threats of costly rules, taxes, and regulations such as proposed taxes on services (your commission), fireplace retrofits, and point of sale regulations. Learn more about RAF here.

The REALTOR® Action Fund Victories

  • SCCAOR defeated a Bay Area wide fireplace replacement mandate that would have cost your clients on average over two thousand dollars at the point of sale.
  • SCCAOR defeated a City of Santa Clara proposed ordinance that would have discriminated against renters that are unrelated and share a household, and placing a burden on property owners to enforce.
  • Last year we defeated a tax on conventional mortgages that would have cost the average California homebuyer over $8,000 on the cost of their mortgage.
  • Thanks to the RAF we have been able to defeat service taxes,that would have taxed your commission.
  • RAF has helped us defend the mortgage interest deduction from being eliminated.
